Ive switched from a Curve to a Storm on Verizon. Someone told there is a update option on the Storm that I can use to get my BBM contacts into the Storm from the curve. True or False ......... how?
sorry I forgot to mention, Ive tried to transfer the data via the computer but I keep getting an error message. Ive been told by someone at T-mobile that the BB has a feature that I can import the BBM contacts. Is this true? ... how
From what I'm aware, you have to update your new pin and esn/meid in your BIS account (and resend your service books just in case) and your contacts will automatically be loaded into your Storm. I've switched blackberries quite a few times now and everytime my BBM contacts have followed when I do this. I don't know if this is carrier dependent or not though. Try updating your BIS account (either through a computer or your email settings application on your Storm).
Use the device switch wizard and it will have you hook up your first BB then transfer everything to the new one as well as BBM and then it will update on their end to the new pin
Hmmm, try manually deleting your service books on your device and resending them from your BIS page.
What will this accomplish?
Follow BCollins' advice. The switch device wizard will do what you're looking for.

The OP wanted to transfer the BBM contacts, not the service books, and to do that there is two ways. 1. Switch Device Wizard or 2. Backup using the advanced feature and copying just the bbm part BUT doing it this way does not update all the users of your new pin.
