Default missing browser

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I just unlocked and updated a strom as per the stickys in the forum. Everything seems to work great. I have EDGE connectivity, can get email and all other function, however I cannot find the browser icon.

It simply does not exist. Any info would be appreciated.

The phone is now on att. I have resent the service books several times, still no browser icon.

thx

jeff

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Go to phone options
Dial from homescreen and click no.

Then press B and see if browser can be accessed

Have you have made sure it isn't hidden, or in a Home screen folder?

Good pt. I assumed based on the user knowing about resending service books would know that. We shall see

The user has a Storm. I don't believe this will work.

If it isn't hidden, you should be able to press the menu key and select Switch Application and see the icon there.

Otherwise, go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Key > Register Now.

I tried

>>Otherwise, go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Key > Register Now

and still not avail. When I press and hold the menu buttons I see the browser icon. When I try to use it, I get the follwing error;

"Your Device Does Not Currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries"

I would suggest calling your carrier and verify with them that you have a BlackBerry data plan.

I would assume so as well. I would still check with them and maybe have them re-provision your account.
