BlackBerry maker Research In Motion today unveiled the Storm 2, a new version of its touch screen Storm smartphone, marking its latest move in the battle with Apple's iPhone.

Yeah, it's also the 1st device for Verizon with Wi-Fi.

First Blackberry device from Vzn with WiFi. They have lots of others.

Report is the phone will be the star of a TV ad tomorrow by Verizon on a football game and released on the 21st IF they don't have any inventory problems (which is possible). If they do it'll be a few more days.

The Storm 2 is listed at vodafone.co.uk under "Coming Soon". Fairly detailed info available there.

It's due for release on 21st October, my upgrade from Storm 1 is due on the 30th.

Could this be fate? :o)

According to my Verizon store here in Houston, they will begin receiving phones in about a week and a half...
