Default MAC DM - OS 10.4 (Tiger) Users - 10-20-2009, 11:49 AM

While preparing to download Blackberry DM for MAC, I discover the build will only work on OS 10.5 and above. Basically OS Leopard and Snow Leopard.

I am running 10.4 Tiger on an iMac. The prospect of dropping $169 for the new OS or even more for a newer model was a deal-breaker until I made a nice discovery.

MAC users running OS 10.4 Tiger on a MAC, with the dual-core Intel chip, can purchase the $29 Snow Leopard upgrade disc and install with no issues. You will also get all the benefits of the upgrade, including faster transitioning and more hard drive space.

So looks like Ill be testing the Blackberry DM for MAC after I pick up an upgrade disc!

Lucky you! I hope that works out for you. I am new to the Mac world and there is nothing like it. I likely never purchase a PC again!

jdmevo8,

I am all MAC in my house since purchasing a MAC laptop for my graduate studies. I now have the iMac, airport wireless hub, Nano, and all the MAC accoutrements. There is simply no comparison and not much of a difference when it comes to navigating the OS. MAC is simply smoother, intuitive, and rock solid stable. It NEVER crashes and no more pesky virus issues.

However, I still keep a PC laptop to maintain my Blackberry and windows based techno devices. Unfortunately DM for MAC only lets you backup your BB and can't install the OS. MAC hasn't quite bridged the gap entirely. Maybe one day!
