Exclamation Problems with Gmail application - 10-23-2009, 01:20 PM

Hi,

Today I upgraded my BB Storm with last software and my Gmail application stopped to work.
When I try to open it says >APN is not specified<

Does anybody knows how to manage this?

Thanks!

Theres posts all over the forum about google apps/gmail app/google maps NOT working correctly.
App world also had a problem yesterday, to which the answer was a new update 1.1.019 to 1.1.0.20.

RIM are clearly having some issues.
Wait it out, or call your carrier tech support about it.

I used it (on my Pearl, Curve and Storm) but it is not yet compatible with OS5.0. I miss it terribly, but I installed the Gmail plugin and setup gmail as a push email account. Not exactly ideal, but I'm not going back to .148. 5.0.0.328 is running way too smoothly to mess with it!!!!

I have Gmail as a push email, I use Gmail for backup for all my email accounts but sometime I need some email fast and Gmail app was great for that.

My OS is 4.7.0.181 not 5.0. and still doesn`t work.

Thx anyway

I've had the same issue with OS 5.0. I've tried to complain on Google fourms, but I'm not sure how effective that was. Is there any word on when a fix might be ready?

for any that are looking for an updated Gmail download for the new OS...you can go to google's website from your mobile phone and download the new version. The link still says 2.6, but when you download it, it says 2.7.

They fixed it.

Thanks for posting this. I installed 2.0.6 after I did the update to .328 2 weeks ago and it didn't work. I couldn't install 2.0.7 from a back up I did and couldn't d/l it. I just got it up and running now, and it works well.
