Anyone here tried tethering since upgrading to 5.0? I just tried this morning and VZAM just keeps saying "Configuring modem". The version of VZAM that I have been using is 7.0.4.4 (2323c) and it has worked fine with 4.7. I checked Verizon web site and the version they have is v7.0.11 (2380b). I guess I will try this version even though it is older.

I have not tethered since upgrading. However, I will point out that you don't even need VZAM installed on your PC to tether. Once you install Desktop Manager, you have everything you need. Use the Windows Dial-Up Networking wizard to create a standard dial-up connection, specifying the BB as your modem.

With the problem you're having, I would definitely try that.

Thanks for the tip. I will definitely look that up. What I did find out is that ver. 6.9 of VZAM will work with 5.0. This is actually the version that is on the cd that came with my Storm.

Thanks for the tip on ver 6.9. I was having the same issue with the new version of VZAM after upgrading my Storm to ver 5.0. Installed version 6.9 of VZAM and no issues. Works as usual.
