Default CALL and END keys on Storm 2 - anyone else having issues with these keys being dodgy? - 10-30-2009, 05:42 AM

I've found that my "call" and "end" keys aren't always pressing down when I try to click them. It's like the screen doesn't recognize it, and refuses to click. I have to re-press to get it to work. My wife's S2 works flawlessly. I can't help but think this is a fit and finish issue, which I would have hoped would have been perfected by now... but maybe I just got a bad one.

Anyone else have problems with these keys?

Strawberry, your Storm 2 will be a different model to mr_biscuit's Storm 2.
You can really compare.

Actually, the 9520 and the 9550 are basically the exact same hardware, with just different radio bands. The screen press "should" be the same on either.

@Mr. Biscuit, I haven't experienced this dial or end key problem.

True enough I guess.
I figured, likely made in different parts of the world. Although same parts, possibly built quality is different.

Hmmm... I've noticed it's especially bad when in landscape mode.

Even when the buttons do click through, it's like I can feel some resistance - like the screen is hindered somewhat.

I've also noticed that the 4 "hard" keys at the bottom of the screen stay lit up all the time, even when the screen is asleep, and the LED has a constant, dim red flicker.

Back to VZW I guess.
