Default Unlocked Storm - Email Issues - 11-04-2009, 07:59 PM

I have a BB Storm 9530 that was originally on the Verizon network. I bought it unlocked and my voice and data work perfect. The issue I am having is that I can not set up my personal email. It tells me to call my service provider, which I have. They say that they can not locate the pin, of course because it's a verizon phone. So does anyone know how to bypass this since I don't have the original username and password that the original owner set the email account up with.

The email I am trying to setup is a yahoo account. I go through the new registration and that is where it tells me it is already registered. Does anyone know if a wipe would resolve this, or does it matter because it is related to the pin of the device?
