Default New storm 2 Browser question - 11-05-2009, 09:14 PM

I went from a 8330 curve and just purchased the storm. I love everything about it except for one problem. On the browser on my curve I could play animated radar loops from weatherunderground. On my storm 2 it will not play the animated radar images like the curve did. Is there some setting on the storm 2 that is stopping this?

Open your browser... Menu>Options>General Properties>Repeat Animations 100 times.

See if this works.

Just picked up my 9550 last night and oddly, I am having the same problem. All setttings appear to be correct.

Any other thoughts?

Try downloading the Opera Mini browser and giving it a whirl.

Let me know how that goes. I am test driving it myself and it seems a bit more stable and faster on my Storm 1 than the BB browser.

While that is certainly an option, it is not the right answer for a brand new device. I did call VZW tech support and got some song and dance about signal strength. Did not have time to waste that day so I will be calling them back and asking to go higher up the support chain shortly.
