Unhappy missing service books - 11-07-2009, 10:51 PM

I have:
-brand new Storm 9530
-it is a Verizon Wireless phone
-it is missing the service books
-I am in AUSTRALIA
-the phone is unlocked
-I have a data plan with 3 mobile *correction: I have a BLACKBERRY data plan*

I cannot access my browser because I get a message saying I don't have the "Browser configuration service book entries"

Since I am in australia I cannot go to the verizon blackberry BIS site and Resend the books.

Doing the advanced options > host > register now thing does nothing and does not work.

HOW do I get the required service books????

thank you in advance

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan, and you must be able to get to the 3 BIS site to create an account and send the service books.

No BlackBerry Data Plan (which is different than a regular data plan) - no Service Books.

Service Books are controlled by the carrier so you will not find a way around this either.

UPDATE:

After finally wading through the useless 3 mobile people they finally connected me to a Blackberry techie and it was fixed in less than an hour! They had to activate the "service code" whatever that means.

go crackberry!

Glad you got it working, they probably never provisioned the device currently.
