I just got a Storm 2 and loaded my favorite disks. No problem. Everything is listed correctly.

I can select a song on an album, but when I push the play button, it looks like it is trying to scan the songs on the album. After the supposed scan is complete, I press play and it scans the album again and does not play the song.

Any suggestons?

Try options memory, hit the menu key and choose repair

What format are your songs in?

I sync mine with Itunes, took a while before the songs were in place, and then the BB wanted to scan those files. Once done it played them no problem, have not tried it with ear phones.
