Default switching from 8800 to storm 2

Would love to hear from anyone who went to the storm 2. Did you get used to the keyboard? Are you happy with it? Do you miss the keyboard?

I'm in the same situation - Getting ready for either the new Bold 9700 on ATT or switch over to Verizon and Storm 2. Problem is I am a die hard emailer so I'm worried that the Storm will slow me down, however I do love that large screen real estate of the Storm

Please let us know what you decide to use. The droid is sort of a compromise

This really is a matter of preference and it has been discussed many times in great detail but I will still give you my two cents, for what it's worth... I went from the 7100i to the 8830 and then the 9530. Just last week I upgraded to the 9550. First and foremost, there will be a learning curve. You will not pick the Storm up and immediately be able to type as proficiently as you did with a keyboard model. But you will get back to that speed with the 9550. After a year with the 9530, I was playing with a co-workers 8830 and could not wait to hand it back. And the 9550 is so much better than the 9530. The OS5 update made great improvements to the 9530 but it still doesn't have the new screen technology and twice the on board memory. I would be hard pressed to go back to a keyboard model now.

Best advice is to go play with one at a VZW store, keeping in mind that it will take time to get used to typing on it. In less than a month, I was every bit as fast on the touch screen as I was on the key board. And as fkjr2 points out, you get the best screen real estate of any BB to boot!

Good luck with your decision
