The up/down volume control on the side is disabled. How do I enable it and get it working. Thanks

There's not a way to disable that.

Why do you say it is, where have you noticed that you can't use the volume controls keys?

At one time I set it on "nothing" and assumed it was disabled. I can't find where I did that. Apparently that's not the case from what your saying.

Under options, screen/keyboard you can set the right and left buttons to do nothing but i'm not aware of being able to change an option for the volume controls. Maybe that is what you did?

That sets the right/left convenience keys, not the volume keys.
