Default Storm 2 Keyboard Question

Please Login to Remove!

I've noticed on multiple youtube videos on the storm 2 that different carriers Storm keyboards were full qwerty in portrait mode and on the verizon us version the portrait qwerty was a suretype board with two letters to each key. I'm in the US so obviously i'll be getting the Verizon version, im not into the suretype keyboard in portrait but i would like to still have a full qwerty pad while typing in that mode. Is there a setting or OS version I would have to download? I do know that I can simply turn it to landscape to type full qwerty but I'd like to do the same in portrait mode.

Yes, you can set it to full keyboard in portrait mode.

Go to options
Screen / Keyboard
Set the keyboard in portrait view to full keyboard.

The full Qwerty in Portrait mode absolutely sucks. It's not functional and it more of a novelty than anything.

But it is a feature that appeared on the Storm 1 after 4.7.0.103. It's on ALL Storms now and you can set it up to appear in Portrait mode under the options menu.

Honestly, unless you have baby fingers, its not a good keyboard to use. Play with it and you will know exactly what I am talking about.
