Charging Pod for Storm 2

Default Charging Pod for Storm 2

Is there any difference than the one for the Storm?

I can get the charging pod for Storm 2 on Amazon for $22.34. I can get the charging pod for the Storm for $13.60. Both are Amazon Prime which means free shipping for me. Both look alike but have different BB part numbers. Will the Storm charging pod work on the Storm 2? (Guess the real question is are the connections all the same location?)

I have read about this and the answer is no. I have been looking for the last 15 minutes and I cannot find the reference. The problem was the case of the phone is "slightly" different. Port is in the same place but it is closer to the front or the back due to overall case size. I hope that makes sense. I will continue to research and post the article if I find it.

If you are, it may not work.

My memory is failing...Attached is the link to the article I read. Towards the bottom of the article it speaks about accessories and it says it may not work. IMHO, if there are two different part numbers, there is a reason.

I have a cradle for the Storm 1. We got a Storm 2 in and it will not fit.
It is pretty close, but didnt make it

Been looking for this answer today. Get my storm 2 tomorrow and have the storm 1 cradle. Looks like its ebay here I come!!!!

One poster mentioned that he got the S1 cradle to work with the S2 using a dremel (on the cradle that is).

Not worth buying the S1 cradle and having to mod it. Maybe if I already had one that would otherwise be worthless to me, I'd try it. For less that $9 difference, I'll go ahead and get the one made for the S2.

Typical manufacturers BS. Make all the possible user replaceable parts completely different so they have to buy new stuff. Ever wonder why EVERY blackberry uses a different battery?

last i looked at crackberry.com. it might be worth to order the kit they have going on for 50 bucks. comes with a pod, car charger, wall charger, screen protector and a skin case. it's called a super bundle.

and there are 2 seperate part numbers depending on storm 1 or 2.
