Of course this happens before I get on a plane....

I wanted to see what "AUTO CORRECT" does in the Messaging OPTIONS menu so I turned it on. It caused a blue box to appear while I am typing suggesting the correct spelling of the word I was typing. Not bad.

I went back and unchecked that box, leaving "Check Spelling As You Type" checked. It did not revert to that system where it pops up a box with 4-5 alternatives to what I am typing (the default that it came with).

Any idea how to get that back?

Sorry about posting this then discovering the answer. I spent the past 30 min. trying to fix it and couldn't until AFTER I posted a question.

For those that encounter the same problem...

Apparently when you screw with the SPELL CHECK settings, you also cause a change in the LANGUAGE AND TEXT INPUT settings (under the regular OPTIONS menu). You have to change INPUT STYLE back to "Word Completion".
