Default How to get Telus Blackberry Storm Port to Rogers

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Schnitzer:

I saw your posting in your forum that you have unlocked Telus Blackberry to work with Rogers network and then got the PIN, Email etc working as well.

I recently purchased a Telus Blackberry Storm 9530 from my friend. I unlocked the Blackberry successfully and am able to use the phone service. However, I was not able to configure email.
When I submit my PIN and IMEI to Rogers at the BIS website, I got the following message:

Cannot Create Account

This BlackBerry(R) device is not registered with your wireless service provider.
Please register this device and verify that the URL of the current web site matches
the one provided by your wireless service provider.

To register:

1. In the Application list on your device, click Options, or click Settings Options.

2. Click Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.

3. Click the Menu key and click Register Now.

If the error persists, contact your wireless service provider

Any advice?

Hope this doesn't happen to me when I get the unlock code tomorrow for my 9550!

Default Doesn't work on the existing dataplan either

I have an existing dataplan with my old Blackberry. I logged onto the Rogers BIS site, select "Change Device" and enter the PIN and IMEI of my new Blackberry (from Telus). However, it said "the info you provided is not valid for this service provider".

Not sure if this is the same thing, but I got my BB 9950 locked from eBay. Then paid an unlocked website to unlock the Verizon phone. It worked but at the top of the screen, it says Device need activation. I had to key in ##000000 and then changed the phone number to mine. It worked.

At the very top called, "Directory code". Changed the 10 digit numbers to your cell phone number (area code + phone number).
