Question How do you hide/unhide keyboard without the options menu?

Please Login to Remove!

I have "accidentally" hidden the onscreen keyboard by doing something and I'd like to know what that is? It must be some sort of special swipe. I've tried swiping all over but I can't get it to hide on purpose. Anyone know how?

Also - obviously - is there a way to bring it back with a swipe or a tap... or a shake.... ?

Thanks!

To un-hide swipe bottom up, to hide top down.

Well, yes. I figured that was the overall concept but I can't get it to work. For example - assume I am on an SMS screen in landscape mode with a thread of SMS's messages in the window. When I swipe top down, it just scrolls the SMS messages in the thread.

Where do you start the swipe? On the left or right? Below the SMS text window?

Thanks for your help (and patience).

It's been a while but if the text message is open start at the bottom right and go half way up.

GRRRRR! I get it to hide about 1 in every 20 tries and I don't know what the trick is.

I like the convenience key idea except that I've used mine up for slightly higher functions. Maybe I need to rethink my priorities.

If anyone knows the little secret on the Storm 2, please share.

(but thanks, zerog)

Wirelessly posted

I just swipe my thumb right down the middle to hide. Don't know of a way to bring it back. Use the same pressure you would to scroll, just stay on the keyboard
