Default Is my charge time, and run time normal ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
A bit new to the Blackberry thing coming from regular phones in the past. I was astonished to find on my new Storm2 that the battery charged up within less than 2hrs ! maybe only about 90 mins (with the plug in the wall type regular charger, not with a PC cable)
Though I guess it was coming from about a 20% battery level. I am more used to a 4+ hour charge on my previous Samsung and Nokia phones. Is this normal for the Blackberry ??
Equally the run time from fully charged is 2 days tops with moderate usage and probably only a day with heavy use, again I am used to 4 days run time per charge on other phones.

Does all this sound normal ? I have had battery and charge issues with previous non-blackberry phones before, so just wanted to check my phone and charging is performing normally ?

Thanks in advance

There is no "normal" run time since everyone uses it differently and your location also plays a role - if you are in a fringe 3G area, the battery will not last as long.

Charge time is about right using the wall charger. PC charge will take longer, however.

But from what you are saying, it sounds fine to me. I think most users get about a day's use or less from a charge.

Thanks, thats put my mind at rest, knowing that I am clearly not "abnormal"
Just one thing though, and excuse me if I am being daft and probably paranoid here, but is there a correct way/order to attach the phone to the charger ? I never even gave it a thought before, but it was suggested by someone else (and I am not suggesting this to be a reliable source) that you should connect the phone to the charger first and then switch on or plug in the charger second. Or is this scaremongering drivel ? Most people I know have the charger plugged in already and just happily connect the phone/laptop whatever without any adverse issue ?

Plug in the charger anyway you want.
I usually put the charger on and then plug in.
It makes absolutly no difference.

Sounds, like what I wanted to hear. Clearly I am being paranoid. Suppose I was worried about frying something or short circuits etc when plugging in a live connecter into a phone.
