Default Verizon Storm 2 Unlock Issues

Please Login to Remove!

I am planning to buy a Verizon-Storm 2. I am aware that the Verizon is CDMA network for USA. However, I am planning to unlock the phone and use it in Indonesia where currently I am using GSM network. I visited Verizon's homepage and studies the Storm 2 specifications, but I am not certain I can use this phone worldwide when I unlock the phone.

The following is the spec's from Verizons:

Features
Network Support: Dual–band 800/1900 MHz CDMA/EV–DO Rev. A networks; Quad–Band: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks Single–Band: 2100 MHz UMTS/HSPA networks SIM Card: pre–installed in BlackBerry® Storm2™

I assume "pre-installed means that I can remove the SIM Card, unlock the Storm 2 and install my GSM card to able to function in Indonesia?

Any comments above would be highly greatful.

Correct, that is what you will need to do -- install your own local SIM card.
