Hi everybody, i'm new around here.I bought yesterday an BB 9500 Storm from a shop, it is unlocked.My provider is Vodafone.I bought from them mobile internet.

I have a problem.I cannot use IM at all.It says "Service not enabled for this handheld".I found something on google but i'm not sure about it.Explain me please what is all about.

First of all, do you have a BB data plan? Did the carrier properly activate the data plan by sending service books?

no i don't have a data plan.i only activated mobile internet from vodafone.all website are working ok except the IM

Check out the FAQ for two articles. One on using the device with a Generic data planand the other n why you need a data plan.

What IM are you trying to use? My assumption is that you need the BB data plan and not the generic one.
