Thumbs up Liked this enough to review it on

So I am now nearly two weeks into owning the Storm2 and liked it enough to write a review on it. I never do that for electronic devices. Normally I think it's best to leave that to the experts. However, in this case I felt I just had to speak up about my experience and how I have become a convert to Blackberries and touch screen technology.

To me the Pros are the reliable 3G speed, a learning curve that has proven not to be all that steep, and the touch screen itself.

Cons are fingerprints on the touchscreen and the crappy browser. I can connect to websites faster than with my wife's iPhone, but the iPhone loads more content and has that slide and zoom feature and boy does it blast Blackberries clunky zoom feature all to hell. Hopefully later software versions will catch up to Apple in that respect.

The camera is better than on any of the other phones I have owned, despite it still being nothing special compared to a dedicated digital camera. Pictures are not super detailed, but normally they are in focus.

Battery life has proven to be better than expected and that is a major plus. I haven't charged my phone in two days now and I have 25% left. No heavy useage, but I have talked plenty each day and used it for email a lot.

The Otterbox Commuter case is a perfect fit for the phone and I can shove my phone into my left front pocket with ease. That is where I like to keep my phones. Always have and always will.

Verizon unlocked my phone for international. I called to ask how it worked and they said why not just do it right now. OK! No problem. It doesn't change anything when using it in the USA so it's fine and I am ready to hit SE Asia in January.

Now I still have a LOT to learn. There are icons in this thing I have yet to even touch. But I'll take my time and learn this thing one step at a time.

Coolest app I downloaded is Call Blocker. I haven't had a land line in years, so any charity I have ever given to calls me on my cell. It's a constant barrage of calls. Well, no more! In fact, after the thing hung up on them constantly all last week, I have not had a single call so fr this week. Maybe they got the message and removed me from their lists.
