just go into the options screen, then go to applications, then find BING and delete it. Thats what I did, and that sucker is gone.

Sure. You can remove it. But it will be pushed back by Verizon. If you hide it, it stays hidden. If you delete it, you'll have to keep deleting it over and over until you decide to hide it.
