Unhappy Calender not synchronizing

Please Login to Remove!

v4.7.0.181. 9500 (Vodafone UK). Running Windows 7 Ultimate.

I had everything syncing quite happily with my 9500 and Outlook 2003.

Via an NHS official Microsft Home User program, I purchased Office Enterpise Full version, which I believe contains outllok 2007.

I had all my Tasks, Calendars, Notes etc backup to my PC (via Desktop Manager) and also synced with Google calendar, so I didn't bother to do any other form of backup.

I uninstalled Office 2003 successfully.

I then installed Office 2007 successfully

I wasn't expecting any outlook data to be present in Outlook 2007, but there it all was! Everything in place as if I'd reloaded the data back into it - which I didn't.

As a test, I then attempted a sync between by 9500 and the PC. I knew some data had been changed on both the PC and 9500 so was expecting something to happen.

All went well except for the calendar. Changes didn't syncronize. Whislt all other data did.

I haven't changed any settings at all on either the PC or 9500. The program to sync with is MS Outlook, and the profile is the default Outlook, so no changes.

It has been like this for several days now.

Has anyone any suggestions how how to get the calendar to start syncing again?

Thanks for any help and information.

Check the default calendar (CICAL) setting in options > advanced > default services

Make sure the calendar setting is the same as the default messaging setting.

When everything else sync's except calendar, that seems to usually be the problem.

Aiharkness

Thanks for the reply. Just checked the Settings as you suggested, only to find them the same.

The only thing I have noted otherwise, is that when I use Desktop Manager to sync my data - Calendar is completely missed out, as if I hadn't chosen to sync my calender - which I have double checked, and I DO have that option ticked (gthe same as the other successfully sync-ing iterms).

Next thing I would try is delete all CICAL service books. Do a hard reset. Then do a sync and see what happens.

Options > advanced options > service book ....

Scan and look for entries that are in the form of an email address plus "CICAL". Delete these and just these and nothing else. Then close out of options and do a hard reset. (With the blackberry power on, remove the battery for 30 or more seconds.)

Probably not anything you did, at least not directly. Glad you got it working.
