i noticed today my contacts mentioned a sync with one of my other emails/profiles. not one id ever wanna sync with or use.

i went into options > advanced options > default services > contact list is only showing the 2 profiles/email addresses i dont ever wanna sync with and not my normal default profile.

how do i get rid of this or change to the profile i wanna use ?

i just deleted the SYNC file in service books. not sure if it will come back now or not, but its fixed.

need to know to learn how to delete this sync contact list. list has gmail accounts name (not on the phone anymore)

My "Contact Lists" is also showing my gmail address.

How to remove/rename it back to default?

I have been searching everywhere for a solution but I just can't find out how to remove the gmail part. I have tried rset, deleting the address book... but the gmail name just stays there.

please help.

i thought i updated this thread, sorry.

i "think" i had to backup the storm, delete ALL the contact info on the device, sync.

i know the issue comes from when you add the gmail account, if you dont UNclick the box asking if you want to sync gmail contacts.

found this looking thru my posts...

1. Confirm your Outlook data is correct.
2. Connect your BlackBerry to the USB > Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced.
3. In the RIGHT hand pane, you will see your device data. Scroll down to the Address Book data, so that line is highlighted. Click the CLEAR button below. This will delete ALL the Address book data on your device.
4. Sync your Outlook data to the BlackBerry as you would normally.
