Default Message Management App for Storm 2?

Please Login to Remove!

My apologies if this is a noob question, but it's stumped my colleagues at work.

I just switched to a Verizon Storm 2 (previously used a Moto Q9m). I cannot get the "Sent Items" folder to appear in the "View Folder" list. I've Googled for a couple of hours, and none of the fixes I've found seems to apply.

I need to be able to see copies of my sent items, but I hate that they're mixed in with the rest of the traffic in my Messages folder.

To separate my BES message traffic (Outlook) from other mail I installed the Empower Work Folders app, and that helps, but I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer on the missing Sent Items folder.

Your BES account does not provide a Sent items folder?

As I posted in your duplicate post.

Welcome to the forums, Jim.

It would help if you let us know which "fixes" didn't work for you.

Go to Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder Redirection and see if there is a check next to Sent.

First of all, my apologies for the duplicate post. I realized the first thread had a misleading title.

"Folder Redirection" doesn't appear in my E-mail settings screen.

Fixes I've attempted:
Messages > Options > General Options > "Hide Sent Messages" Toggled to yes and no. Didn't make "Sent" folder appear, only removed sent messages from main Message folder.

Battery pull to force BES re-sync.

My colleague has a Storm 2 identical to mine, and his Sent folder is there big as life. Nothing we try can make it appear on my device.

It will not appear on the screen, you have to press the Menu Key and you should see an option for it.

Nowhere in the Options or View Folder sections can we get "Sent" to appear. My colleague's Storm 2 has it, and mine does not. Really weird.

I went to Verizon today, and they were unable to diagnose the issue either.

Does it show in Folder Redirection at all?

Follow these steps to the letter:

Go to Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key > Folder Redirection

Default Folder Redirection Option Missing

We're zeroing in on the problem. I talked to the IT department (billable work order - arghh), and for some reason my phone does not have the Folder Redirection menu option.

If I navigate to:
Messages > Options > Email Settings > Menu Key,
Folder Redirection is not an option! The message options are Save, Show Keyboard, Switch Application and Close.

Everyone else here at work as Folder Redirection as an option. Arghh!

Before you ask, I enabled full menus in the Options > Screen/Keyboard > Menu Style setting, but that didn't make a difference.

That is strange. I would recommend reinstalling the OS onto your device and then reactivating the device on your BES.

I agree, I am betting the reactivation on the BES would do it.

Default Victory!

I finally found the problem. Googling on Folder Redirection, I found this:

"Note: If you are unable to select Expand for any of the folders, or if the Change Option menu option is unavailable, try turning Wireless Reconcile on the handheld off and then on again. You can find Wireless Reconcile in Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation."

I tried this, and Bingo!, ALL my Outlook folders and sub-folders appeared by magic. And just in time for happy hour!

Thanks guys for all your help, folks.
