Default New Feature Discovered

Please Login to Remove!

I realize most people know this already but I discovered that when I need to search my email for a certain person i just have to highlight that email and hold down on it and it automatically finds all emails from that person.

I discovered this by accident and I'm sure it's old news for most but for those who don't read the book for this phone hope this helps. Very cool feature.

Wirelessly posted

I've got one better for you.

Say you subscribe to an email listserv. You don't want to delete every email as you read it, or for whatever reason the messages pile up until you decide you want to clean house. But the emails are from different people.

Create a search on some constant feature of the emails. Maybe the subject contains the list name. Or the To address is the list address. When you've created the search, save it. Then when you open search, recall the saved search and execute it. Then 'delete prior' on whatever date you choose.

Now, that's cool, isn't it.

EDIT: Doh! I just realized what it is you found is cool. It isn't the search. It's that all you have to do to search sender is hold the message. That is neat.

I posted this feature in the slide show I uploaded a couple of days ago. Anyway this also works in the music library inside of "All Songs" where you can touch and hold down any song and it will search all song related to the artist (if you touch on the right side above genre it will search all songs of the same genre)

It's a great feature on the Storms.

Likewise, if you want to find ALL messages on one subject, touch the subject area for a few seconds and the Storm will list all messages on that subject, regardless of sender.

LOL. I love scrolling in this touch screen and multimedia overall. But I do miss buttons for some quick actions like deleting items by just hit the delete button, or find somebody to call by typing at homescreen. But its different advantages in each type of phone
