Hi guys,

I have a Blackberry 9530 from Verizon....my old Blackberry was stolen in Chicago and my brother passed his along to me. I unlocked this Blackberry myself so I could use it in on the Orange network in France, where I live.

I can send/receive calls and SMS, but Internet nor BBM service works. The service status is 3G and I have full bars, but no internet service. I have checked network settings...on Automatic, Global. I have done a hard reboot, called Orange to see if there is an issue on their end (they tell me since it's not an Orange phone, they cannot perform tech troubleshooting), tried to resend service books from BB internet server.....nothing works.

If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

The reason it isn't working is because that device isn't offered by the carrier, so they don't publish the Service Books, which provide you with all services outside of voice and SMS.

See this detailed thread - Unlocked Storm on AT&T or T-Mobile - on how to proceed. And since it is written for other carries, I'm not sure it will work...

There has to be a way to do this - but you'll need to find the correct service books. Perhaps Google "9530 Orange" and see if others have done it.
