Default Wifi Problems

Please Login to Remove!
My wifi never wants to connect to any networks regardless of whether they are open or password protected. It always say "failed to obtain and IP address." Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions to this problem?

Yes I have a data plan and have the latest version of the OS 5.0 and it says that no updates are available. I was told to send service books maybe?
