When I bought my Storm2, the VZW store purported to sync my contact data. But all the phone numbers came out without hyphens (i.e., 4345453323) and almost none of the extensive notes appended to many contacts were transferred. Is there a way to do this without typing everything in using the onscreen keyboard?

I type 80wpm, so using the keyboard on the handheld is pretty tortuous.

First thought is sync with outlook, edit your contacts in Outlook and then sync again. Or if you already have the original contacts in Outlook, then clear the address book on the device and then sync.

If you don't use Outlook, look at the alternatives supported by Desktop Manager and see if you have another option.
