Default White screen with small icons. HELP!

Please Login to Remove!

It's like my themes or something is messed up.

I had to wipe my phone because it had the 523 Error or whatever.

Now, my phone still works...sort of. I can make a call and receive calls. I've downloaded Facebook and Twitter onto it and they work. But my homescreen is just a white screen that has every possible menu item as a small icon.

Also, when I turn off the phone and turn it back on, it doesn't do the usual thing it did. When I used to turn it back on, it showed me the Verizon logo (although, I go through T-Mobile on this unlocked phone). Now, it says Blackberry and loads up first...then does the Verizon logo...then the white home screen.

Any idea what I need to do?

Thanks.

About the white screen? Nope.
About the blackberry, then verizon logo...its OS 5. It will load with a black Blackberry screen and a loading bar.

The white screen and basic black & white icons is what you see when there is no theme selected. Open options > theme and select a theme.

Don't know about the rest of the questions.

I've tried the theme option and it doesn't have any themes to choose from.

My phone doesn't have service at my house, so I plan on trying to download a theme on it when I leave. Just wanted to see if that is what the main problem was or if you guys new of anything else.
Thanks.

So, when you wiped it, how did you reinstall the OS? I can't imagine why you don't have the stock themes.

Have you tried a hard reset? If not, with the power on, remove the battery for a good one or two minutes and then try again to select a theme.

If you still don't see available themes in options > theme, then do the device software update again.

That's what I don't understand about it, and thought maybe there was another problem.

I've tried to update it again and again...

Now, I've downloaded a theme and put it onto my phone using the desktop manager...and I can't find it on my phone now.

I'm baffled by all of this.

The theme will show in Options - Theme
Unless it is not made for your device, then it won't show.

There may be a way to solve your problem with finesse, but I would wipe it again with JL_CMDER and then reinstall the OS. I'm partial to downloading the OS software and installing on the computer, then using apploader to install on the device, as opposed to the automatic update with Desktop Manager.

Also, out of curiosity, how did you wipe it before?

I wiped it with JL_CMDER...but I did the auto update off of DM.

Maybe I'll try it the way you suggested.

Also, the theme was made for the Storm 9530, which is what I have. But when I click on Options - Themes...nothing shows up.

That's the reason I suggest doing the wipe and os install all over again. I can't understand why you don't see even any stock themes, except that maybe the OS install got botched somehow.

When you install the OS, go slow and pay attention.

The reason I asked what you wiped it with is I wanted to make sure you didn't use something else and maybe did harm to the device. If that's all you've done as far as that goes is use JL_CMDER, then I believe strongly if you wipe again and do the software install of an official OS release for your model, then you should solve this theme problem.
