how to install unofficial OS releases under MacOS ?

Hi,

does anybody know how to install unofficial releases of Storm 2 OS under Mac OS ? The desktop manager checks only the official site for updates ...

You can't.
RIM are still only releasing OS's to download in .exe format, which I'm sure you know, can't be read on a mac.

barry911,

You absolutely can load an O/S from a Mac into your Storm. I've done it several times. You aren't actually loading the OS with Mac OS but the version of Windows you install in the MAC. Two ways to do this are Bootcamp or Parallels.

I prefer Parallels as I don't care to have to reboot into Windows anytime I need to perform a task (which you must do with Bootcamp). Anytime you need Windows, you can select it off your dock just like any other program. You also notice that Windows also screams along smoother on a MAC. Parallels 5.0, is what I use to run Windows 7 and Snow Leopard. When you configure Parallels be sure to dedicate at least 1 gig of RAM to Windows so it will run well. Once Windows is installed you can load your Blackberry DM and you are off to the races. MAC's are such intuitive devices. I will NEVER go back to PC. A helpful video is below.
