hey whenever i try to reinstall the software through app loader or desktop manager, the device restarts, it says connecting to boot rom on the pc, and then i get an error after a few cycles help!

Is the error you get the JVM 507? Did you delete the vendor.xml file before trying to install it? Did you install the OS on your PC first? Did you follow our directions in the yellow sticky at the top of the 9500 section?

You probably need to wipe it with Jl_cmder (see the FAQ) and then reinstall the OS (yellow sticky at the top of the 9500 section).

Who is your cell carrier and which 9500 do you have? There are several different models. Make sure you get the correct OS for your specific BB.

Would be the ones at the top of the 9500 section. It depends on which 9500 model you have.

umm some history of this bb: basically wen i got it from a person i plugged in the charging the red light came on and then went off without displaying anything , that cycled. then i thought maybe the charger slot is messed. so two days ago i bought an external desktop charger, charged the battery and put the battery in the bb and it turned on..., then wen the phone was working the battery went low so i thought to try the charger slot and it was charging!, after some hours of playing with the phone. it displayed a white screen and restarted!, and every time it turned on to the os after a while it would do the samething, the white screen would display for a split second, too fast for me to read!, so i used my mac to try and update, it downloaded everything and said i need 7mb more on the device during the installation , so the whole process was for nothing. my bb booted back into os. so i decided to just to wipe and reinstall, and now it reboots at connecting to boot rom when installing os. DOES THAT HELP?

I HAVE A LOG FOR TRYING TO INSTALL OS AFTER THE WIPE THROUGH MAC, i have tried windows and it reboots at connecting to bootrom...on the mac it gives an error and the phone restarts
