Default 9530 BB os basic info

hi newbie on here and recently purchased a BB storm 9530 from Ebay and have it activated with t mobile.About to delve into the upgrades and all that good stuff.Have absolutely no idea of what kind of OS in in it ,have no software that arrived with purchase and would appreciate some insight as to access this on the phone and online.It's really exciting to learn that this phone has potential.Thanks millions,Ron

Personal opinion: If you are new to the BB, leave it as it is. You may find that it works for you as you need it to work, that it isn't broken and it doesn't require fixing with a new OS update.

Play with it. Use it. Find out out what it an do. Make sure that you have a BB data plan and the proper service books. Can be tricky since T-Mo doesn't sell or support the 9530. Check the yellow sticky at the top of the 9500 section for help with getting the proper service books.

Don't worry about an OS upgrade for at least a couple months.
