Screen locks when putting bat cover on
 

Just recently, my BB Storm's touchscreen quits working when I place the battery cover on. If I leave it off, it works fine. If I manually press the two little brass buttons down on the back, the screen quits working.

What happens, is that the screen no longer clicks down and thus doesn't recognize that I am touching it.

Any ideas?

Really, if anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate them.

The brass pins I am talking about are located under the battery cover on opposite sides of the phone. One is right next to the sms card. And if I only press one in, the phone still works, but pressing them both in cause the screen to touchscreen to quit responding. BTW -the graphics and still work fine, it just doesn't respond to touch commands.
