network blocked i have the unlocking code. i am able to type in mepd but when i go to type in mep2 and then the unlocking code i cant to my knowledge its not even excepting the mep2. i have manual reset and updated the firmware ive worked on other black berries, but this one is giving me real hassle. if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. |
Re: network blocked one more thing when i enter in mepd and it brings me the the more advanced screen next to network it says blocked. when i see videos it says disabled. i have to believe this has something to do with it. |
Re: network blocked What device do you really have? There is no BB 5500. What carrier do you plan to use it on? There is no need to unlock a CDMA device, because you can only use it on the carrier that it is made for, i.e. you cannot use a Verizon device ont he Sprint network. |
Re: network blocked i have the storm 2. |
Re: network blocked What is the real problem? The 9500 series is not supported by t-mobile so there are no service books. You have to resort for alternate methods. Check the sticky at the top of the 9500 section. |

Allowing it on their network, isn't supporting the device. |
Re: network blocked i dont mean to sound offensive but ive been on fourms where people have gotten it to go over to t mobil and ive seen it on youtube by a trusted tech. i need help getting to the mep2 prompt. if you know about unlocking black berries you would know where im stuck and that it has nothing to do with if the services allows the phone. so if anyone else out there can help me it would be much appreciated. |
Re: network blocked Did you read the sticky at the top of the 9500 section? Did you read this: How do I unlock my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ |
Re: network blocked yes and i cant do step 7 it dosent want to possess mep2. when i hit the 2 the brightness flickers briefly. but it dosent do anything after that. |
Re: network blocked these are the 10 steps 1. Turn off all of the wireless connections (manage connections - turn all connections off) 2. Go to the Options icon on the device 3. Select Advanced Options 4. Select SIM Card 5. Hit the Menu key to select Show Keyboard 6. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)(enter just the mepd, no spaces, etc.) 7. Enter the letters: mep2 8. Now it will say enter network mep code 9. Enter the code given you, usually about 16 digits 10. Your Storm is now unlocked. |
Re: network blocked hey masters how to unblocked a network blocked?i have 9550. thanks |
Re: network blocked You can't unblock a device that has been blocked. Typically, devices are blocked because they have been reported as stolen. Or else they were on an account with an unpaid bill. |
