Default Upgrade pricing

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a current VzW customer elgible for an upgrade. I called CS to get pricing and I was told $179 with $79 mail-in rebate.

So $100 for a new Tour, I'm pretty happy. I'm wondering if online pricing will give me $100 without a rebate

the website shows 199, I didn't see 150 anywhere.

I want to know how much the one year upgrade price will be.

Cool thing is I was a Alltel customer and now we got converted to VZW. They told me it was just a $20 upgrade so I'm gonna be out there bright and early in the morning.

You may want to change your carrier in the profile after you get the device

Went to the local VZW store today myself, and got to play with the demo unit (not actual live phone just the lifelike mock-up) they told me 199 after rebate as well, keyboard wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Its portable and looks really sharp/eye catching.

Trying to make up my mind to add a line and try it out for 20 days or so to see if I like it better than my Storm and return it if not.

Are there any updates on what prices you paid? I am seeing anywhere from 99 to 199. I am just curious what you are getting your tours for?

I paid $250 and got $100 back after the mail-in rebate. So....$150. Same thing I paid for my 8830 when it was new. Not bad considering the Tour is everything the 8830 is, and more.

My parents still question my sanity when I tell them I paid that for an upgrade. Then again, they only want a phone with their upgrade.

I was eligible for my N.E.T. upgrade discount ($100), so I was able to stack that with a 2 yr renewal discount of another hundred, plus I ordered online to get the $100 instant rebate (took 24 hrs to get in my hands, vs buying in the store and getting a rebate check in 6 weeks!).

$299 - Tour w/ 2yr contract renewal
-$100 - New Every Two discount
-$100 - online instant rebate
________
$99 out of pocket and in my hand.

My NET is only giving me 50 off. It used to be 100. Anyone had any success complaining about that change?

Whenever I get the hankering for a new phone, I always make it a three step process. First, I go to the store and inquire about the best deal that they can give me to upgrade to what I want. Then I go home and check on-line through Verizon's website. Finally, I make a phone call to Verizon. By using the store price, and the on-line price, I simply ask if they can sweeten the deal or convince me to upgrade because "I am not crazy about spending that much..." Everytime I have used this method, I end up getting what I want cheaper than I thought. We just upgraded my wife to the Tour, and I spent a total of $79 bucks. This included an additional case, package of screen protectors, and vehicle charger. Plus, I was able to reassess my plan to make sure I was signed up for the appropriate amount of minutes for my family.

Good Luck!

Did they change the eligibility for "new every two"?

I'm the secondary number on the contract and have been for about 8-10 years or so and every time my two years were up I went in and got the discount, but not this time. I've never had a blackberry before but can't see why that would mean not getting the discount. I got it online ($149), so that I wouldn't have to pay more out of pocket and wait to be reimbursed, but that didn't affect getting the discount cuz they wouldn't do it over the phone or in the store either. I've also gotten a phone online before with the new every two discount.
