Default Verizon Visual Voicemail Issue

Please Login to Remove!

So anyone else having an issue like this, whenever i get a voice mail or voice mails, i get no notification on my phone until i go into the VVM icon and click resync mailbox, then a bunch show up. Not only is this a pain in the a** but the traditional vm icon doesn't show up either...

yes it is, it verizons version, i know things like youmail are out there but I've heard good things about there VVM on the storm, so far on the tour its shaky at best.

I use youmail I do not know your answer other to say that these issues are not unusual with a new device. I wil ask around and share my findings in this thread.

i had a problem with my visual voicemail app when i first tryed it. i reset my phone then launced it again and had no problems. you can also set the tone for visual voice mail in your sounds and noticiations. if none of this helps call vzw and have them reste the visual voicemail feature. but beware this could delete all of your old voicemail.

I just called myself, and it worked fine for me. It shows up the notification icon on top, the LED blinks, and my lil sound goes off. Maybe call VZW and see what they say.

Is YouMail good? Because I'm trying out VVM but I don't know if I wanna pay for it past the first month, but I like the idea of the feature. Is YouMail free?

You mail is free, in my opinion though VZW works better.

The Tour's VVM works better than what it did on the storm. At least for me. It's faster on the Tour. I would call tech support at VZW and have them reset your e-mail box. Again as Stricni said this could delete what's in your box. Sometimes when you do an ESN exchange the mail gets stuck.

I also had this issue. So to fix it, I logged into myverizon wireless account online and it still showed basic voicemail instead of visual voice mail, even though I accepted it and installed it on the bb. Once I added the service to my account online, it removed the basic voicemail feature and everything worked perfect. Apparently accepting visual voice mail on the phone doesn't automatically remove the basic voicemail or even add visual voice mail if basic exists, even though you'd think it should.

The only issue I have with VVM is when I receive a message it say's received yesterday on the receive date. Weird.

I had the same issue and the fix mentioned by mshipek worked for me after a battery pull. Love the vzw visual voicemail. Even though its a paid app, I just like the app ui so much better than youmail.
