Here's a funny one for you. I am having this same problem and I am my company's BESAdmin.... I have double checked the policys, we are still on 4 we haven't moved to version 5 yet. So I imported the policy and make sure it was not configured to block that access, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

You need to link your Facebook application to your contacts application in the Facebook options. That will cause it to periodically go out and pull Facebook data, including pictures. It's possible, however, that your BES Admin will have this feature turned off.
