I've noticed that on the Tour, when I read an email, 99 times out of 100 the font size will be huge in a 14+ size. The address and subject lines are my pre-set BBAlpha Sans size 9 font, and my text messages show up just fine. However the email messages all show up in a huge size 14 font size.

On all of my previous BB phones, the font size always remained the same throughout the email message. I've gone through all of the font settings on the phone and can't figure it out. Has anyone else encountered this and know of a fix?

Have you checked your email online to see if the font isn't in fact HUGE? I've seen the same thing, but it's because I've received a few emails recently that had large and/or bold fonts. The Tour appears to be doing a decent job of rendering the actual fonts in emails.

Is it all your email or just gmail?

Online (as in on the Exchange server and Outlook), it's all normal. My SMS texts are normal font. I don't use any Gmail or any other mail on my phone.

All of my emails (through the BES) are large font. I've checked the settings on the BES 5 and there aren't any issues as I just swapped the number over to my old 8830 and tested this out again yesterday. It's definitely something with the Tour and not with the phone, not the Exchange server, not the BES server, and not the carrier.

I've noticed this, and it seems only the messages that are encoded in HTML have the large font.. Plain text messages appear normally.

Somebody who has this problem really ought to call BB and see what they have to say about it.
