Default Auto Spell Check email, not SMS

Please Login to Remove!

On my Tour I can turn on a spell checker for email. Which I need. However, this also applies a spell checker to my SMS texts. Which I really hate. (especially when you text with abbreviations).

Is there a way to make the spell checker only work for email, not SMS?

If not - hopefully a RIM person sees this!

Hi and welcome. I don't think you can do what you're asking. This is not a RIM forum in case you were thinking it is. They do have an official RIM forum though.

Turn off "check spelling as you type" but keep "spell check e-mails before sending" and you should get exactly what you're looking for. Good luck!
