I am new to blackberry. I push the green phone and start typing contact name (I have 100+ contacts). After initial letter (and subsequent letters) phone shows *No Contacts*? Yet I have 10 "G" contacts. This is very frustrating and I end up scrolling through all of my contacts to find person of interest. How do I solve this problem.

Your contacts will not show up when you push the green phone button; only the calls you have made and received will show up there.

There is another icon for your contacts list. You need to open that to see your contacts.
