Default Reassigning Quick Keys?

Please Login to Remove!

I am not sure what to call this but I am using "quick keys" where you see an underscored letter of an app on the bb desktop. Like Message, Contacts, Calendar, etc.

I would like to assign or reassign apps with my own quick keys. Can do?

Thanks.

No, you can't change the function of the keys when you're using them like that.

You could try a 3rd party app called ShortcutMe. There is a quick review of that application here: Blackberry Shortcuts (Blackberry Tips & Tricks from the Mods)

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Also, you can assign 2 apps to the 2 keys on the side of the phone in options>screen/keyboard

The problem with Shortcut Me is that you first have to open the app, so it is not just one click...kind of annoying.

I never understood why there isn't an app that allows you to create custom one key shortcuts such as "M" for Messages. This functionality seems to be available to developers as proven by the handy Qsms app that turns "Q" into a shortcut to compose SMS.

Any ideas?

I use QuickLaunch - same concept...
I use one of my convenience keys to open it and then I assigned shortcut keys for my favorite apps.
