My BBM was deleted from my phone by a friend that was trying to help me upgrade it. I used the Desktop Manager to restore BBM. But I thought that I just had to check the box for the app I wanted to add, I didn't realize that leaving all the other boxes unchecked was going to remove them from my Blackberry. After all was said and done, I lost everything. Now, as far as data was concerned, I was able to go and restore to my last backup file, so that's not a problem. However, now I've lost all the games that came with the device; all the office tools such as word, spreadsheet, etc; notepad and task.


Does anyone have an idea on how I can get all this back?!?!? I need these things.

I tried using the Desktop Manager again and going through the application loader again, but those things are no longer listed on there so I can't seem to get them through the Desktop Manager anymore.....
I even tried uninstalling the Desktop Manager and reinstalling it and it's still now showing in the applications lists, only the applications that I redownloaded since....

you need to donwload the OS thats on your phone to show the applications that came with the phone.

where can i find that? When I look at the about page, it shows V4.7.1.40 (Platform 4.1.0.40)
which one is which?
Please forgive my ignorance, this is my first blackberry and I only got it a couple of weeks ago, so I'm still learning about it.

That did the trick...I followed the directions for the download in the sticky at the top of the forum and got all my missing default apps and games back!


Only thing I noticed is that my Facebook app and ubertwitter is no longer in my profiles where I set ringtones and alerts. They still work like I had them before, but they are no longer showing in the "Other" list to where I can change their profile if I wanted to.
I even tried deleting the application and reinstalling it and that didn't work. So I'm at a loss for that. If you have any other ideas on that, that would be great.
