Default Upgrading to .42 and keeping 3rd party apps

I want to try out .42, but don't want to redownload all my 3rd party apps. What's the best approach? I did a "backup apps" with BBSAK, but it doesn't have the "3rd party" option anymore. It backs up ALL the apps.

If I install .42, then restore apps using BBSAK will the .42 apps be overwritten with the .40 apps that BBSAK just saved to the backup?

Never mind - the RIM installation process seems to handle 3rd party apps.
