Within the email, hit the menu key and then select "download attachment"

If you have DocsToGo you should be able to edit it.

Since you have a 9630, you should have DocsToGo as well.

Unless you are on BES and they don't allow. I have not been able to download attachments sent with BES only my Gmail account. My BES admin says they don't know of a setting on their end but I don't know where else it would be.
