I am using AT&T number. I just bought Blackberry Sprint Tour a few days ago. Everything works excellent except with internet connection.

When I tried to browse, this notification came out:

"Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device."

I called AT&T twice. They gave me direction on how to change the browser setting, yet the problem is still not solved.

Should I call Sprint instead of AT&T? What should I do? Thx.

You do have the BlackBerry Data Plan on your account?

yes. i have a BB plan on my account. I used curve 8310 before I change to tour.
BB customer service said that probably the problem is with sprint. The browser is locked with sprint provider.

Try opening Host routing table and then click menu and select register now

The error message sounds like you don't have the AT&T service books for internet access.
Register with the Host Routing Table (as per wmeyer51) and then log into the AT&T BIS page and resend service books (as per nick.dollimount).

Since AT&T doesn't market the Tour, will they push the correct service books (thinking about Storm uses on T-Mobile/AT&T who have to manually load Service Books) to get MMS and Browsing working.

May I am missing something here. Did you port your ATT number to Sprint? If you did then you would be a Sprint customer and ATT would be out of the picture. i do not see how it would work any other way, since ATT does not sell the Tour.

The Tour will work fine on AT&T. Just like the Storm works on AT&T.
You just have to do some things to get it just right.

It doesnt make much sense.
Bell Mobility is my primary provider with my Tour, AT&T is my US carrier.
I cross the border, switch to GSM and voila, i can surf on AT&T.
though its not perfect. Live search wont work, I cant get my AT&T email, but I still get my email through my Bell BIS account, browsing is fine, make sure you are using the RIM browser, not sprints, I know bells browser doesnt work on AT&T, maybe thats your problem.
You cant have more than 1 BIS account set to 1 phone, so your service books will come through 1 provider or the other, not both.
I will also suggest, after switching to GSM in the usa, I did have to do a battery pull to get things working right and to get edge to lock onto EDGE, otherwise it was constantly switching from lowercase edge to capitals.

I'd call in to AT&T again, call from another phone though, so that you can test it before you get off the line with them. They can try sending service books to your device as well as make sure the services are correct. Just ask for Business Data Support or Advanced Network Services. They should be able to verify everything for you, and make sure you test it before they get off the line, we're supposed to do that on every call, but some people get lazy.

I don't really understand about service books, but I've already registered the host routing table as per wmeyer51. However, I still can't connect to the internet.

also, how do you log into AT&T BIS page?
