Will I be able to load by BB Bold Backup file into my BB Tour when it arrives or will I have to download everything onto the Tour?

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Once it arrives just use the switch device wizard in desktop mgr

From my recollection, the switch device wizard is an issue if your plugs are different. Make sure to have a backup nonetheless. From my curve to Tour, I used a backup. NOT the device switch wizard.

Nah. I migrated my wifes 8330 (mini usb) to a 9630 (micro usb) recently with the switch device wizard and it worked perfectly. Not sure if it matters, but I was using DM 4.7

Restoring from a backup is definitely a viable migration strategy, but I prefer the wizard as it does everything for you (swaps PIN & ESN in BIS, automatically starts BES activation if you've got a connection to the server).
