Hi, I'm Brian from Frederick, MD. I finally have my own personal blackberry (tour), my wife and I bought em last night. Much better without all the corperate restrictions!

I'm not understanding the internet though. seems like any site I have to log onto just won't link. it either just refreshes the page or goes blank (blank if I enable JAVA).

My girl needs constant banking access, which kicks back to the login page after log in.

I need access to my coorperate website for the chiller manufacture I work for, meed to get to all the service literature. the it says my browser is not supported.

I need access to a message board for HVAC machines. It says my password is wrong.

I'm just not having any luck. what am I doing wrong?

now that I have some more hours in, two more questions.

does the phone float?

If not, and I were to smash the devise whilst submersed would a hammer's effect be too dampened by the plane of the fluid to offer the proper smashing while water logging effect I'm hoping for? would a spear like devise be more rewarding?

How long can a tour handle in the microwave? do I need to double the time for two of them?

Just kidding but it's frusterating trying to learn a new toy when it has so much personality

WOW!!! you may want to focus on 1 problem at a time.

Is your internet working? Have you visited other sites? It could be your settings. Do you have java enabled? Does your bank support mobile online banking? Are you trying to download pdf files, do you have pdf viewer?

"I need access to my coorperate website for the chiller manufacture I work for, meed to get to all the service literature. the it says my browser is not supported"

You should probably discuss this with your IT dept. You may need to download a different browser.

"I need access to a message board for HVAC machines. It says my password is wrong."
Is it possible youre not entering password wrong? Caps and #s can be tricky at 1st.

Don't give up and good luck

Thanks man. It's not so much the specific problems I listed, as much as it is the fact that it seems anything that I need to log into will not accept a login. This site, oddly enough, does however log me in.

There must be some setting that is off but I'm having trouble finding it.

I like this thing. I like it a lot...but It needs some tweaking I think.

Always check to see if the site youre gonna go to has a WAP site. This will speed up navigation. Are there pdf's you can just keep on a media card and go to.

It's worth the effort, in a couple weeks you'll be old school tweaking you OS and hitting the apps stores!

Wap...ok cool.

I have called PNC bank and they said I should be able to access their site. I calles verizon and they said the same but that some webites may be trouble for a mobile.

When I go to pnc though, there is an icon that says I need Adobe flash
To view the page. I am sure this is the problem but I can't find the right software on their site.

Any ideas?

Thanks

If it requires flash theres nothing you can do.
BB's dont support flash at this time.

Flash could be a ways off. The Skyfire browser is in alpha phase testing. A new consortium (all major manufacturers except one) agreed to work with Adobe on a mobile Flash, but that agreement was reached last week.

I have been trying to log in to orb, so I can hook up sirius too. that site will not open either.

There are only very few settings available for the net, I'll post what I have when I get time tomorrow but I don't see how far off they could be either

I love this thing now that I'm getting better at it, but I need this thing up and runnin for sure. I am sure it's me, not the devise

Although I'm not a fan of the Opera Mini web browser, it does give me access to some online banking sites that cause my built-in BlackBerry browser to gag. Opera Mini might be an option for both you and your wife. No flash, of course, but it does seem to handle some sites better than the regular browser.
