Default Mailbox Setup on Tour

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a Tour, first time bberry user. I have one mailbox for gmail, one for work (outlook), and then the generic message folder that combines everything. If I read my mail on my computer, in either gmail or outlook, it is still showing on my blackberry as unread. I've thought I changed the setting to Mailbox wins, but maybe I'm still missing something. As of now, it shows I have about 40 unread emails today, but really I've read them on my computer.

Please help!!

Thanks.

This is called "reconciling" email, and it generally is not a feature of standard BIS data plans. To get true reconciliation you have to be on a BES system. Having the BB update the read/unread status when email is opened on your pc doesn't happen without BES. Some other reconcile functions can take place over BIS, like read mail on the BB updating on the pc to read, but not the other way around.
